DISNEYLAND: Last weekend for Carnation Plaza Gardens

I was saddened to read this news just now. I've been visiting this Plaza since I was a very young girl. I remember dancing on the dance floor with my sister to live swing and jazz bands while our tired parents looked on. I played in my high school marching band in this pavilion. We marched through the park and ended up at the Plaza and performed three or four songs in the middle of the day. When my niece was five I swing danced with her here to a live band one night in December, way after her bedtime. Just a fat week ago, my husband and sleeping son and I strolled to visit it after midnight closing. We were the only people in that part of the park, or at least it felt like it. I did not realize it would be closing. If I had, I would have danced.

We thought this was the movie. But it just was the "waiting room". The movie (3D) was awesome and we would have never gone if Eli was not with us!

Changes

There were several changes we noticed this trip.

- Old-fashioned phones at Main Street store were gone. The last time we saw them there was one if the trips with little Reese.
- First waiting room for Star Tours had been a stroller room last visit.
- Star Tours was 3 D this time with 54 possible scenarios. A great improvement. This us Eli's favorite ride and maybe everyone else's too.

What else?

Last night as Eli was falling asleep, he kept saying,"Tom Sawyer's Island!"

Home Again

So, we got home at 9pm last night. Eli went to sleep about 11pm, and in his own bed, too. He is still asleep now at 10am!

What A Week!

So, I was so busy preparing for our trip, that I completely forgot about updating the blog! Oops.
